READING: Hebrews
10: 19 - 25
19
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary
by the blood of Jesus,
20
by the new and living way which he opened for us through the curtain,
that is, through his flesh,
21
and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22
let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with
our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies
washed with pure water.
23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he
who promised is faithful;
24
and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good
works,
25
not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but
encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing
near.
PSALM:
Psalms 24:
1 - 6
1
The earth is the LORD's and the fulness thereof, the world and those
who dwell therein;
2
for he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the
rivers.
3
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his
holy place?
4
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his
soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully.
5
He will receive blessing from the LORD, and vindication from the God
of his salvation.
6
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of
the God of Jacob. [Selah]
GOSPEL:
Mark 4:
21 - 25
21
And he said to them, "Is a lamp brought in to be put under a
bushel, or under a bed, and not on a stand?
22
For there is nothing hid, except to be made manifest; nor is anything
secret, except to come to light.
23
If any man has ears to hear, let him hear."
24
And he said to them, "Take heed what you hear; the measure you
give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.
25
For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has not, even
what he has will be taken away."
